Good News Clowns
|
| Goal: To be used as
vessels in reflecting God's Light, Love, Peace and Grace to all we come into
contact with by spreading happiness, laughter and cheer.

A Clown's Prayer

what we do We are a ministry which targets on touching souls with a Christian message through the use of laughter and love. We simply use one of God's greatest gifts, humor, to spread God's Word of Glory. This ministry can be a personal Christian journey into servanthood and childlikeness. |
where we go Nursing homes, schools, Sunday School classes, parades, church celebrations, community support ministries, private birthday parties |

clowns in church Any theatrical or musical device that presents the path to salvation to the greatest number of people is well within Christ's command to spread His Gospel. Nothing bonds people together better than a shared laugh or a well-hidden tear. The true Christian clown can elicit both. |
the Christian clown We see the clown like a child, born of innocence and free of guilt. The clown wanders without anger or distress through the daily world. What better way to project the wonder and miracles of God's infinite love than through the eyes of an eternal child. The heart of a true clown is limitless love given without expectation of any reward more precious than a smile. The true Christian clown touches the very soul with a natural ease; he or she speaks the language of love - the unspoken poetry of the heart. The clown teaches through storylines; just as Jesus Christ taught His followers through parables. To spread Christ's message of love and compassion for others requires little more than a willing heart and an open mind. |

two types of members We have two types of members: 1. Clown members - those who dress up as Christian clowns to do all the activities in which our ministry participates. 2. Support members - those who financially support the ministry with either cash gifts, or material items which we distribute through our ministry. |
who benefits from clowns? Who doesn't? Everyone who hears or sees our Christian clown message benefits from having heard the Gospel. The congregation benefits through programs which encourage families to visit a church with a rich, progressive, family-oriented structure. The community benefits from safe, family-oriented entertainment with a loving Christian theme. Hospitals, nursing homes and veteran centers benefit from the hands-on caring and spiritual nurturing which the clown ministry can provide. Charities benefit from the availability of Christian generosity and the drawing power from a clown ministry. A Christian clown ministry can touch as many souls as God needs them to. |
