THREADS OF LOVE
Threads of Love is a ministry for the Preemie Babies in the Neonatal Unit of
the North Central Baptist Hospital of San Antonio, Texas.

Threads of Love members crochet and knit items such as dresses, bibs,
booties, "lovie dolls," blankets, keepsake envelopes, burial dresses, ditty
bags, girls and boys hanky bonnets and miscarriage wrappers.
It is our mission to not only dress preemie babies, but to use these clothes
as a tool for reaching parents and families during a time when they need
reassurance that God is there and faithful to them.
Each item is accompanied by a written prayer and the prayers of the person
making the item. The knitted and crocheted clothes are then taken to the
hospital. The nurses of the Neonatal care unit offer the tiny, completed items
to the parents whose precious infants are as small as eight ounces. "We never
meet the parents of these tiny infants, but we
pray over each item as we crochet and knit," said Jeanne Vickers, project
Chairperson. "It's about healing and binding
together the hearts of parents, and letting them know that God is faithful."
If you would like to knit or crochet items for these preemie babies, contact
Mrs. Vickers for the patterns. She may be reached at 210-667-1513 or
