Our Faith
United Methodists have experienced a God of love, revealed throughout Scripture and life. God is made known through Jesus Christ and is active today in the Holy Spirit. We believe in salvation through faith, with good works as an expression of our faith.
From beginning to end, the Bible is the story of a patient, loving God redeeming His beloved creation
Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest and peace to your soul Matthew 11:28
The Bible is our primary source of our teaching, and of the practices of the church.
Jesus Christ: Jesus is the Son of God, fully divine and fully human, who fulfilled the Hebrew scriptures, died and rose to offer salvation to all.
The Holy Spirit is the active presence of God in the world, guiding believers and empowering them to live out their faith.
God as Trinity: The one God who exists in three distinct persons: the Father, the Son (Jesus Christ), and the Holy Spirit.
Grace: God's unmerited love and favor, freely given to all, which is the foundation of salvation.
Salvation is a gift from God, received by faith, and lived out in service and good works.
