The La Vernia Christian Food Pantry serves God by providing food for families who need a little help putting food on the table. The Pantry is governed by the La Vernia Ministerial Alliance, which is composed of nine local churches.

LVUMC Christmas Distribution Day December 17th, 2022​

​On December 17th, LVUMC volunteers and community members came together for the last scheduled Food Pantry Distribution Day of the year.
The day ended with a high volume of participants, which will support community members in providing a Christmas meal and presents for their families.
Through the generous donations, volunteerism and Christian spirit, over 600 people were served, which consisted of 168 families, and 221 children.
Your time and efforts on Saturday, and over this past year are greatly appreciated for this outreach to our community!
We look forward to next year, so mark your calendars for March 11th, our first 2023 LVUMC Food Pantry Distribution Day.

Thanksgiving Distribution Day November 2022
"La Vernia Christian Food Pantry offers our abundant gratitude for the generosity of our church and the entire La Vernia community. We served Thanksgiving, and routine groceries to about 160 families at our annual event last Saturday!! This is a 25% increase over previous years. August 2022 Distribution Day
Thank you to everyone that helped this past Saturday at the Food Pantry.  It was such a blessing to have all the assistance and it made the day run so smoothly with the heat!  We served 105 families and distributed 140 backpacks, and school supplies.  Your Christian love was expressed to our community.  Again, thank you for showing that love.
